The Aftermath of the Woods
After the run through the woods we ended up running around 8 to 8 and a half miles. Felt good and plenty sore from yesterday. A win never the less, we are a month and two weeks away from Thunder Road Marathon and we both are going to start to work extremely hard to reach the next level in our sport. This next month is going to be a hard road to travel. In the end we are looking to see the beautiful first medals from the completion of our first marathon. In the upcoming days leading to the next training day which is tomorrow. I will be going through each of the races I have been in sense starting to race back in June. Talking about how it felt and what it took to continue on with finishing the race like your suppose to. With as little injury and feeling good as possible. If you have any feedback or comments dont be afraid to post them. I'd welcome them completely. Best Runner I can Be signing off!
Today is Halloween
Today is Halloween, and the booger, aka the wife and I are going to go running in the trails by our house. Have no idea how far it is. But i will be running at her pace. Still feeling the effects of the 10K yesterday that I did very well at. I met my target goal which was 50 minutes at a pace of 8 minutes and some seconds a mile. This run today might be overboard for me. But I have to get stronger and better otherwise I will only be as good as my last run.
This All Began in March
I decided to start this blog now! This is the 7 months into training with this sport that i have grown to love so quickly. It all started with my wife and me talking about how far each of us can run on a track. She told me she could run further than me. So the challenge was on. I could do half a mile. Where she could only do a fourth, but out of that situation this journey was fueled. We started to work out every day with Sunday and Fridays off. First doing a mile for about a month to two months. Then we added another mile. Her pace sperate from mine. Although we never thought it would lead us to starting to do 5K races. Our first was a trail race 8K in just our backyard called, Race For the Land. Then Jame K Polk 5K and that lead us to having done a handfull of 5Ks and we decided by December we will be doing a half marathon called Thunder Road. We have also recently done two 10K races. Where ive had a comple of issues with feeling like i was going to throw up. But i got an idea on how to correct that problem. Which i will give a update on. Going forward now i will be doing a update on the blog every week on Sunday to let anyone who chooses to follow this blog as a example for them to try to do what is best for them in there life. To find the constant work of running to get stronger and better at the sport that anyone can do. At any speed and feel good about it when they cross the finish line. To thoses that follow i wish you the best of luck and no injury.
